Zero commute. All adventure.

Northern Tassie’s newest MTB hotspot.

Ride. Recharge. Repeat.

Step straight from your pod door onto over 100 km of world-class, purpose-built mountain bike trails — right here in George Town, Tasmania. With two incredible networks — Mount George and Tippogoree Hills — you’ll find trails for every kind of rider and every kind of mood. From flowy fun runs to steep, technical descents, this is pure Tasmanian mountain biking heaven.

After a day of shredding dirt and collecting stories, roll back into The George Tasmania and kick up your cleats at our eco-luxe café bar (open weekends and school holidays). Grab a seat on the deck or by the firepit, refuel with local Tassie bites, and raise a glass of wine, beer, or cider to a ride well done.

And if your legs still have some spark left, you’re only an hour from the legendary Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, and just over two hours from St Helens — both world-famous MTB destinations that belong on every rider’s bucket list.

Whether you’re here for a weekend adventure or a full-blown mountain biking getaway, The George Tasmania is your perfect MTB base camp — where luxury pods meet dirt trails, and the ride starts right at your door.

Mount George

Step out your door and start shredding. The George Town trails were purpose built by World Trail over two separate networks - one on Mt George and the second in the Tippogoree Hills, mere minutes away. All together there are over 100km of trails to discover, catering to a diverse range of skill levels and skills progression, and most of all – fun.
