Our Native Garden—or Mount George’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffet 🌿

We’ve been busy planting beautiful Australian natives at The George Tasmania, dreaming of a lush garden around our eco-luxe Mountain Pods.

Our resident wildlife had other plans.

New shoots? Sampled.
Fresh leaves? Reviewed.
Survivors? Thoughts and prayers.

We can’t really blame them. We built boutique accommodation in the middle of their Mount George home, and apparently the landscaping was included in their welcome pack.

So, if you notice a plant looking a little… enthusiastically loved, that’s simply nature-based tourism in Northern Tasmania at its most authentic.

Nature’s in charge here—and she has expensive taste.
