Meet Mount George’s Mini Stonehenge 🔥

What started as a humble firepit at The George Tasmania has quietly evolved into… well, a slightly less ancient mini Stonehenge.

It now features custom hardwood seating, a generous woodpile and a matching timber bike rack—perfect for our Mount George mountain-bike riders, Eco-Pod guests and Café Bar visitors.

Practical. Rustic luxe. Slightly ceremonial.

One of our first guests, 16-year-old Jack, studied it carefully before asking:

“Umm… is this for sacrificial offerings?”

We can confirm:

❌ No sacrifices
✅ Just storytelling, stargazing, Tasmanian wine and craft beer, muddy MTB tales and the occasional marshmallow

So, if you spot our mini Stonehenge glowing at dusk above George Town and the Tamar River, gather around. The only things being offered up are warmth, laughter and one cracking, Instagram-worthy Northern Tasmania view.
