Sip. Snack. Stay Awhile.
The Café Bar Taste. Sip. Linger.
Open weekends and school holidays, 9am – 6pm. Open to the public.
Everything we pour and plate is Tasmanian. That's not a marketing line — it's just how we do things. From the first coffee of the morning to the last glass as the sun drops over the Tamar, every bite and every sip is a small act of devotion to this island and the people who grow, make and craft on it.
Pull up a deck chair, find a spot by the firepit, and let the view do what it does.
Some of the Faces Behind Your Glass and Plate
We’ll be adding to this as our supplier family grows — but here’s a taste of who you’re supporting when you pull up a seat at The George.
House of Arras — Tasmania’s most celebrated sparkling wine house, crafting world-class méthode traditionnelle from cool-climate fruit. A glass of Arras on our deck is one of those moments.
Ashgrove — A fifth-generation family dairy from the Meander Valley, making some of Tasmania’s most loved cheese and dairy. You’ll find them on the plate.
Du Cane — Tasmanian makers with a sense of place in every brew. Easy-going, considered, and made to be shared somewhere exactly like this.
Ritual Coffee — Roasted right here in Northern Tasmania, Ritual is serious coffee for people who care. It’s in your cup from the first pour of the day.
Obsessionist Wine — Small-batch, thoughtfully made Tasmanian wine from people who are — as the name suggests — a little obsessed. Exactly the kind of obsession we’re happy to support.
