Check-in time is from 3:00 pm.

Your retreat access code and Wifi password will be emailed to your booking email address or mobile number the morning of your arrival — easy, breezy, and ready for you to settle straight in.

If you’re arriving after 6:00 pm, no problem — just give us a call on 0411 330 931 if you need a hand accessing your pod.

Check-out is by 11:00 am, so you’ve got plenty of time for one last slow coffee with a view.

Late check-out is available for an additional fee - please let us know at the time of check-in.

What’s in Your Pantry

We’ve stocked your retreat with a few thoughtful essentials to start your stay right — all locally sourced where possible. You’ll find coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, milk, still water, ham, cheese, bread, crackers, granola, sweet treat.

A Little Extra Indulgence

Later in 2026, we will be offering a range of curated food and drink packages available to pre-purchase when booking. Each one’s locally inspired, lovingly assembled, and may change with the seasons (or what the locals are raving about that week). Got a special request? Just ask — we’ll do our best to make it happen.

🥤 Drinks Package – Extra water, juice, and alternative milks.
🍷 Wine & Beer Package – Handpicked favourites from our café bar — best enjoyed with a view.
🧺 Essentials Package – Handy extras like sauces, crackers, chips, fruit, chocolate, and nuts — because snacks are a food group.

Treats & Tipples

You’ll also find a tempting mini-selection of added food, treats and tipples inside your retreat, available for purchase during your stay. Just jot down what you enjoy on the form provided — honesty policy style — and settle up before you head off. Prices are listed inside the retreat and may do a little shuffle from time to time.

And if you’d rather let someone else handle the cooking, George Town’s cafés and restaurants are just a few minutes’ drive away — ready to serve up more Tasmanian goodness (and maybe a cheeky dessert or two).

Yes, complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi is included — because even in paradise, sometimes you need to check your email… or your next winery stop. Wi-fi name and password will be emailed or texted on day of arrival.

Furry friends welcome! We get it — adventures are better with wagging tails and wet noses. Pets are welcome if:

• You’ve selected “Retreat Two ” option when booking,

• The Pet Fee has been paid, and

• You’ve agreed to our Pet Policy (because even good boys need ground rules).

While here, your four-legged friend is your responsibility — keep them close, calm, and cared for. No solo missions, no midnight barking concerts, and definitely no redecorating the pod with paw prints.

Pet friendly bedding and other accessories are available for hire (book ahead so it’s ready to roll). Please keep paws off the furniture and bedding.

Before you switch off and sink in, here’s the not-so-boring bit — our Terms, Conditions & Privacy Policy. Everything you need to keep your stay smooth, sustainable, and full of good vibes.

I. Booking Basics

1. Agreement to Play Nice

By booking a stay at The George Tasmania, you agree to these terms, policies, and any reasonable requests from the Property Owner or Manager.

2. Payment

All stays must be paid in full prior to arrival via credit card, debit card, or your booking platform.

3. Who’s Staying & When

Your booking covers the confirmed dates in your reservation.

You are responsible for any damage during your stay.

Travelling with a child (0–3 years)? Let us know — a cot or suitable bedding may be available.

4. Cancellations (Direct Bookings)

• 14+ days before 12:00pm check-in day → Full refund

• 7–14 days before 12:00pm check-in day → 50% refund

• Less than 7 days before 12:00pm check-in day → Non-refundable

Bookings via Airbnb, Booking.com or other platforms are subject to their policies.

No-shows and early departures are non-refundable.

5. Discount Codes

• Must be applied at time of booking

• Cannot be combined unless stated

• May be withdrawn or amended at any time

II. Property Use, Pets & Behaviour

6. Using the Space (Responsibly)

No parties, events or illegal activity without prior approval.

Pets are welcome in designated pet-friendly retreats if declared at booking, pet fee paid, and policy followed.

Keep pets supervised and off furniture unless using provided bedding.

Quiet hours: 10:00pm – 8:00am

7. Alcohol & Behaviour

The Owner holds a Tasmanian liquor licence.

Guests may pre-purchase wines, sparkling and beers with their booking, or purchase from the onsite café bar for enjoyment within their retreat.

Alcohol is strictly 18+. Responsible enjoyment only.

The Owner reserves the right to refuse service in accordance with Tasmanian liquor laws.

Disruptive behaviour may result in eviction without refund.

8. Parking

Each retreat includes one designated on-site car space near the café.

Additional parking is limited and at your own risk.

9. Entry & Access Codes

Secure pin code access will be provided prior to arrival.

Codes expire one hour after check-out.

10. Access & Inspections

Management may access your retreat for maintenance or safety, with notice where possible.

11. Breach of Terms

Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of your stay without refund.

III. Facilities, Comfort & Care

Each eco-luxe retreat is thoughtfully designed — please treat all furnishings and amenities with care.

Report any issues promptly.

13. Shared Spaces

Guests may enjoy shared facilities including:

• Firepit

• Laundry

• Bike wash

• Landscaped grounds

• Café deck areas

Please follow signage, supervise children, and respect the privacy and enjoyment of other guests.

14. Supplies & Housekeeping

Starter supplies provided (tea, coffee, milk, water, ham, cheese, bread, crackers, granola and eco-friendly toiletries).

Stays longer than 5 nights may request a linen refresh.

Additional cleaning available for a fee.

15. Food & Drink

Pre-ordered Tasmanian hampers and provisions may be arranged prior to arrival (available later in 2026).

Café bar items may be purchased during your stay.

16. Sustainability

We operate with a strong eco ethos and a deep respect for this unique environment.

Our property runs with weekly water deliveries, a limited electrical supply, an off-grid wastewater treatment system, and shared Starlink Wi-Fi capacity, so mindful use of resources is essential.

We prioritise recycled, biodegradable and environmentally friendly products wherever possible — across both our accommodation and café bar.

During your stay, we kindly ask that you:

• Conserve water and energy

• Be mindful of Wi-Fi usage (streaming and large downloads can impact all guests)

• Sort waste and recycling appropriately

• Respect the natural environment and surrounding landscape

IV. Nature, Safety & Liability

17. Nature Setting

You are staying in a natural bushland environment.

Expect changing weather, wildlife, and uneven terrain.

Guests are responsible for their own safety.

18. Liability

The George Tasmania is not liable for injury, loss or damage during your stay.

Travel insurance is recommended.

V. Operations & Admin

19. Hours

Café Bar:
Open weekends and Tasmanian school/public holidays, typically 10:00am – 3:00pm
Closed June – August (winter)

Hours may vary due to weather, private events or operational needs.

Accommodation: Open year-round

20. Photos & Descriptions

Images are indicative. Natural conditions and light may vary.

21. Retreat Allocation

We aim to honour advertised offerings and guest preferences, however in-room allocations may vary subject to availability.

22. Damage & Charges

Any damage, loss or excessive cleaning required following your stay will be communicated via your original booking method and charged to your original payment method.

23. Complaints & Disputes

Please raise any concerns during your stay so we can assist promptly.

Both parties agree to act in good faith. Where necessary, disputes will be resolved via mediation before legal action.

VI. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for both eco-luxe retreat stays and our café bar.

• Valid for 12 months unless otherwise stated

• Non-refundable and not redeemable for cash

• Subject to availability and booking terms

• Retreat vouchers subject to seasonal pricing

• Café vouchers valid during operating periods only (excluding winter closure)
